Along with husband, Ben; daughter, Reese; and dog, Stella, Elise moved to Ada this fall after having lived in Illinois and California. She and her husband are both Michigan natives. They’re happy to be “home” and bringing Alkalign’s real, raw and human spirit to their community.

Another day, another life positively impacted by Alkalign Studios.

I was at the 5:30am class this morning and was telling Christine Clarke Walker (aka Christy) about the noticeable changes in my running and volleyball performance thanks to Alkalign Studios. Often when I get up in the morning after Volleyball on Thursday night I feel so sore....my knees, hips and ankles are just sore and it's overall difficult to move. I have accepted this as the way things are when I'm 40 years old playing volleyball with people who are in their 20's. However, this past Friday I was not sore at all! I popped right about of bed and felt amazing! This is all YOUR fault! Haha! Saturday I had an 8 mile run. My mile splits were on the slower side, but it had nothing to do with my strength. (The heat killed me.) My knees and ankles felt strong and when I felt like I was getting weak, I engaged my core and found more strength. I fully expected to need a rest on Sunday but felt great and was able to do a but slow 2 mile recovery run that I didn't plan on.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know how AMAZING your studio is and how it has improved my overall health and strength in all other areas of my active life.

PS: Found a new place to practice neutral spine.....in the car! Since I'm in my car a lot driving kids around, I make a point to sit in neutral spine the whole ride. Working on maintaining that in my desk chair at work too!
