Our proprietary blend of exercises ensures your entire body is strong, balanced, and mobile so you can live well and without pain.

    We offer more than workouts. Our holistic approach also offers Nourish, a health coaching program that complements classes and maximizes your results.

Getting Started

  • We highly recommend these standard props for all class formats:

    For Align classes: Light weights (2-3 lbs).

    For Build: Start with 5, 10, 15, and 20lbs. Add heavier weights as you get stronger. We also recommend investing in Micro Gainz. These clip onto your dumbbells and allow you to add incremental weight.

  • Download the Alkalign App for iPhone or Android. Or visit the booking platform on your computer by clicking HERE. Create an account and view the livestream schedule and on-demand library. Once you buy a membership, you can schedule your livestream classes or take an on-demand class.

    • Download the Zoom app prior to your first class.

    • Sign up for a live class on the Alkalign app (Apple or Google).

    • Check your email for your class registration confirmation. If you do not receive it, check your spam.

    • You will also receive a link to the livestream zoom class 1 hour before class begins. If you do not receive it, check your spam.

    • Note. If you sign up 5-60 minutes before the start of class, the confirmation and live link will be in one email. You can also join the livestream from your app by clicking the link at the start of class.

    • Join early or stay after class to say hi to your instructor and other members!

    • Let us know if you have any injuries so we can offer modifications during class.

    • Use the chat feature in Zoom to ask questions. 

    • Although not required, we highly encourage you to turn on your camera. Alkalign is a judgement-free zone. Only the instructor can see you in the gallery, allowing them to provide feedback and encouragement.

    • Can’t make it live? A video recording will be sent to your email within 1-2 hours after class ends. After that, you can find it in the on-demand library.

    • Align classes uses props such as a yoga block, squishy ball, loop bands, and a set of light hand weights. Mashup and Build classes will also use massage therapy balls. Click here to learn more about our class formats and recommended props.

  • Click the link in your email and Zoom will open. We recommend turning on your camera so instructors can provide visual feedback and support. If you're not ready to be on camera yet, that's okay too—we're a welcoming, judgment-free environment. Only the instructor can see you, while the rest of the class looks at the spotlit visual demo.

    Livestream classes are 30-45 minutes in duration and are interactive. A live instructor encourages you, offers feedback, and provides verbal adjustments. Great for accountability.

  • Booking: Purchase a Livestream membership. A Zoom link will be sent to your inbox one hour before class. Download Zoom ahead of time so you're ready.

    Can't make it live? You'll receive a video recording via email within hours of class ending.

  • On-Demand classes are pre-recorded and range in duration from 30-45 minutes. Classes are available anytime in the app, which makes it convenient for different time zones, travel, and fitting in a workout whenever your schedule allows.

About Our Build Program

  • Build helps you build strength with workouts that feel good. We focus on alignment and form, targeting one muscle group at a time with heavy weights, bands, and props. Like all Alkalign classes, Build is customized for you with real feedback and modifications.

    We offer 3 classes per week (live or recorded), each 30-45 minutes, designed to progressively challenge your muscles to get stronger. Classes should be taken sequentially for balanced muscle development—we do the planning for you!

    Build uses progressive overload, gradually increasing your workload to stimulate muscle growth. Your muscles adapt and become stronger when challenged progressively and safely. We prioritize form and alignment for maximum reward with minimum risk.

  • Lifting heavier weights increases muscle growth. As we age, we lose muscle mass, so challenging your muscles helps maintain and gain lean muscle. Benefits include:

    • Boosted metabolism

    • Maintained bone density

    • Increased lean muscle and prevention of age-related muscle loss

    • Real-world strength (for groceries, luggage, kids, pets, etc.)

    • Improved athletic performance and injury prevention

    • Increased functional range of motion

  • Anyone interested in lifting heavier or building strength. If you've been curious but intimidated, Build is for you. If you're not interested, no worries—Align, Cardio, and Mashup classes include plenty of weight-bearing exercises for bone density and functional strength.

    Build is especially important for women in perimenopause and menopause. Strength training is one of the most effective ways to counteract hormonal changes, preserve muscle mass and bone density, boost metabolism, and improve mood.

  • No. It's impossible to bulk up from lifting weights unless you're consistently in a calorie surplus designed to increase muscle mass. For nutrition guidance to optimize workouts, check out our Nourish for Build program or contact us for 1:1 coaching.

  • Muscle building happens during recovery between sessions. Weight lifting breaks down muscles during the workout—you need adequate recovery time, quality nutrition, and recovery enhancers like massage balls to repair and get stronger.

    You can supplement our 3x/week Build with Align, Cardio, or other activities 1-2 times per week, but don't overdo it. Back-to-back intense workouts can impede progress and risk injury. We strongly suggest trying Recharge to maximize recovery.

  • Studies show lifting just 2-3 times per week delivers all the benefits without added stress on joints. This schedule provides ample recovery time, which is essential for building strength.
